چکیده
The elimination of toxic heavy metal ions from wastewater has been found to be great importance in human as well marine animal wellbeing. Among various metals, Cr (VI) one the highly and carcinogenic metals which are dissolved water stream, urgent treatment needs a priority. present study demonstrates fabrication zinc oxide nanorods (ZnO NRs) an immobilized polyaniline nanorod (ZnO@PAni NR) composite through situ free radical polymerization reactions. material synthesis purity were verified by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscope (EDS), transmission (TEM). Further, ZnO@PAni NRs applied adsorbent for aquatic system exhibited tremendous removal efficiency 98.76%. impact operating parameters such dose effect pH on adsorption properties studied. uptake mechanism was best explained pseudo-second-order reaction, suggested that synthesized processed chemisorption, i.e., formation chemical bonds. process proved viable endothermic thermodynamically, supported Langmuir model, suggesting monolayer surface NRs.

The adsorptive removal of Cr(VI) by alginate beads containing Cr(VI)-adapted Acinetobacter junii, Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis in batch and continuous packed bed column reactors was investigated. Under optimized conditions (pH 3.0; contact time, 180 min; 30 °C; initial Cr(VI) concentration of 100 mg/L), 65.86 mg/g adsorption capacity was recorded in the batch study. When an adsorbent ...
متن کاملAn integrated approach for Cr(VI)-detoxification with polyaniline/cellulose fiber composite prepared using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant.
In this short communication, the demonstration of a new integrated process concept involving the use of a bio-based material for detoxification of Cr(VI)-contaminated water is presented. Specifically, the bio-based material is a polyaniline/cellulose fiber composite prepared by in situ polymerization of aniline in the presence of cellulose fibers, using the industrially favorable hydrogen perox...
متن کاملAdsorptive Removal of Cr(VI) from Water by Anion Exchanger Based Nanosized Ferric Oxyhydroxide Hybrid Adsorbent
A hybrid adsorbent (FOAE) prepared by loading ferric oxyhydroxide on anion exchanger was applied for adsorptive removal of Cr(VI) from water. Effects of initial Cr(VI) concentration, pH, temperature and competition of other anions on Cr(VI) adsorption were investigated in batch experiments. The equilibrium adsorption capacity (Qe) of the FOAE increased with initial Cr(VI) concentrations (from 2...
